Onda oBook 11 Review!

I personally do not have a lot of experience with devices made by Onda, but I have heard a lot about Onda devices on the internet, not all of it good. In fact, most of what I’ve heard about Onda is mostly bad, and when I was offered the Onda oBook 11, I was hesitant, purely due to Onda’s internet based reputation. However, I relented and got the oBook 11. There have already been other reviews about the oBook 11, so this definitely isn’t breaking news, but hopefully I’ll be able to provide you with another perspective on the Onda oBook 11.

Teclast Tbook 16 Pro Review!

The Teclast Tbook 16 Pro is an 11.6” tablet with an associated keyboard. It is definitely not a unique device; there are myriads of other devices with almost the exact same specs and a keyboard connector. In fact, it has a brother; the Teclast Tbook 16s which for all intents and purposes is the exact same device, except the keyboard connection takes a Surface like keyboard instead of a transformer style keyboard. It has a 1080p screen, X8300 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage which are all very decent specs, and the metal body is nothing to laugh at either. Starting at $210, is this tablet worth your money? Check out the full review below.

Ulefone Metal Review!

With the release of the new MTK6755 Helio P10 processor, MTK6753 phones suddenly became less appealing and have had prices (for these phones) slashed. However, Vernee was the very first company to take advantage of this by releasing an extremely cheap $99 phone with this very processor. It was received well and did not sell badly, and other companies have since followed suit. With the introduction of the Ulefone Metal, Ulefone is vying for a place in this area. The Ulefone Metal carries what would have been flagship level specs 8 months ago at $105USD. There is the obligatory MTK6753 processor, 3GB of RAM, and slow motion video recording. As the namesake suggests, the Ulefone Metal has a metal unibody that does make this phone premium. Even though it costs about $5 more than the Vernee Thor, it does have a slight edge over the Thor with a metal build quality and a slightly bigger battery. Does the Ulefone Metal have that extra something to edge past the Vernee Thor as the premier midrange phone or will Ulefone fall behind?

No.1 G5 Review: Good $20 smartwatches are possible

In an attempt to stand out from the crowd, the No.1 G5 aims to impress by packing in as much as possible into the impossibly low $20 price tag. There’s not a lot of tech that you can buy for $20, maybe an Apple lightning cable or six rolls of colour toilet paper. Thankfully, you get a lot more than six rolls of toilet paper here. It seems almost impossible to determine how No.1 packed in a stainless steel body, a sapphire glass screen, and a 380mAh battery into a $20 device that for all intents and purposes is a full fledged smartwatch. We debate how much lower the price can go on smartwatches but for now, $20 is the bottom of the barrel, but one we are happy to be in. An impossibly cheap smartwatch is useless if it doesn’t perform its intended function, but we are glad to report that this smartwatch delivers, albeit with a few quirks. Continue reading

It’s been a little over a year since Chuwi first announced the Chuwi Vi10. In the intervening period, they have released a myriad of other good devices such as the Hi10 and Hi12, with some of them aimed towards Surface alternatives. Just this past July 28th, Chuwi has announced and released their new iteration of the Chuwi Vi10, the Chuwi Vi10 Plus. Continue reading

XY Findit Bluetooth Tracker Review!

The scatterbrained individual will find the XY Find it a useful tool. To the uninitiated, the XY Find It is a Bluetooth tracking tag that constantly communicates with your phone. You can attach it to anything and you will be notified if the tag is too far away. It’s pretty cheap, starting at $30 and features a myriad of tracking features through the companion app and a replaceable battery. Let’s see how well it does.
